A surprising wine, a 100% Cabernet Franc, that underlines how much this variety on the Tuscan coast feels almost more at home than in its native Medoc. The Riparbella area, indeed, is one of those areas to be kept under observation in Tuscany for its potential. It was already planted with vines at the times of the Etruscans and has shown all its character in recent years, receiving a huge appreciation from both the most qualified critics and the media, which allows to foresee a significant future increase in the value of the wines from these lands. La Regola will develop its qualities in the coming decades, and combined with the growing commercial value of its production area can be considered a very interesting investment.
At the first glance La Regola’s color seems impenetrable, deep purple with violet reflections. On the nose: fleshy roasted peppers, vetiver and more berries such as blackberries and blueberries, but also red fruits such as cassis, followed by more roasted notes of coffee and ebony wood. The transition in the mouth is surprising, agile and fresh marked by sapidity and straight taste, one would have expected much more density instead it reveals an incredible finesse.
