Cerrati in Serralunga d’Alba

Tenuta Cucco stands at the foot of the suggestive Serralunga d’Alba castle. Barolo Cerrati comes from a single small ancient vineyard, one of the best suited in Serralunga, located on the top of the hill, and Tenuta Cucco is the only winery offering it to the market. The 2016 vintage was characterized by great balance and optimal temperatures, which brought the grapes to excellent levels of ripeness and a good yield. The owners of the winery are extremely attentive to the territory and the sustainability of their wines, which not only are organic, but are also made respecting the rhythm of the nature, without the use of chemicals either in the cellar or in the vineyard. The results are extremely elegant and clean wines that can age for a long time.

Barolo Cerrati 2016 has a beautiful ruby color, rather light, with garnet reflections. The scents iin the glass are extremely sophisticated and elegant: violet and cyclamen, rose petals and then aromatic herbs such as thyme and marjoram, raspberry and in the end notes of underwood and foliage. On the palate it is a fine and deep wine, with silky tannins and a lashing acidity. The soil rich in limestone gives it more structure and great sapidity. Long finish, very persistent.
