“Il Sole di Alessandro is an exclusive wine as well as of a terrific quality. The soil of the small vineyard that produces its grapes is very rich in schists, which gifts the wine with a great complexity and elegance, with a very different character from the Sangiovese-based wines traditionally produced in its area. The aging in barriques combined with the very hot 2015 vintage has resulted in an extremely structured wine that still needs a long period of aging to reach its maximum potential.
“Il Sole di Alessandro” is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the Chianti hills. The color of this wine is an impenetrable purplish ruby. The aromas emanating from the glass are of great elegance and very intriguing: raspberry, currant and cassis fruit, and then herbs of various kinds, eucalyptus, sage and lavender. On the palate it is a wine of great elegance, vertical, with tannins in evidence, and a marked acidity.
