Brunella is the first wine in history to carry on its label the name of the prestigious cru of Castiglione Falletto. In France would have been considered a “monopole”: Boroli holds the exclusive property of this small vineyard located at the extreme western point of the Villero village: it is therefore a priceless bottle for collectors. Brunella is the most elegant among the winery’s crus, if compared with the other two produced: Il Villero and Cerequio.
The Brunella 2015 has a bright, crystal clear ruby red color. It has a net bouquet to the nose: firstly, come the scents of strawberries and raspberries, then slowly arrive the broader and more multifaceted aromas: pomegranate, rhubarb, peonies and moonflowers, and in the end the balsamic fragrances of mint and licorice. In the mouth it is a structured and full-bodied wine, with young tannins yet of a great finesse, it has a good acidity, which together with a nice savory sensation make the sip extremely balanced. The olfactory sensations have a strong correspondence on the palate, leaving a long and intense finish with toasted notes of coffee and carob.
