Lazzarito is one of the most suitable crus in the world: thanks to the soil rich in limestone, fossils and gypsum, and to the altitude and the microclimate gives life to an absolutely extraordinary wine.
The 2016 vintage was exceptionally balanced, allowing the grapes to reach a perfect degree of ripeness supported by the right acidity and concentration.
Wine for connoisseurs, lovers of refinement, willing to wait for its evolution in the cellar for a few more years.
Lazzarito 2016 has a beautiful ruby color, bright, with iridescent garnet reflections.
The aromatic picture is extremely complex and sophisticated, from small berries to tertiary aromas of dried mushrooms and leaves, tobacco, and then balsamic sensations such as peppermint, bay leaf.
On the palate Lazzarito is a vertical, austere wine of great depth. The tannins are compact and still young, the taste is savory, mineral, and the acidity is decidedly lashing.
