Marianova was born as the first experience of the second-generation Satta, a blend in equal parts of the best Syrah and Sangiovese grapes handpicked in the Marianova vineyard. This is the first Bolgheri Superiore cru that does not have any Bordeaux variety in its blend. Through the Syrah and Sangiovese Satta wants to express all the brilliance and harmony of this Mediterranean place, which gives wines of a very rare depth and complexity, which avoid to rely on concentration and stratification, and play instead on elegance. A wine so entertaining that deserves to be uncorked year after year to discover its evolution. Bolgheri is one of the Italian wine-growing areas to generate a high interest from a commercial point of view, as the wines produced in this area are subject to a rapid and constant increase in their value. Marianova 2018 with its out-of-the-box character is a must have for every collector of fine wines.

The color of the Marianova is a deep, intense ruby with purple reflections. The aromatic profile is decidedly complex, and evolves rapidly in the glass. At first the scent of black fruit such as mulberries, elderberries, blueberries, which then leave space to the aromas of the Mediterranean scrub such as juniper, helichrysum and mastic. And after a few minutes a sanguine and earthy note emerges: this is a wine of great character, which does not lack grace and elegance. In the mouth it is rich and satisfying, full-bodied, with velvety and mellow tannins. The “blood” vein returns to the mouth, savory, counterbalanced by a nice freshness.
