The Cortona area was already known by the Etruscans for the exceptional quality and richness of its soils. Baracchi has transferred the expression of these soils into an exceptional Super Tuscan. The result of both a huge selection of bunches and a different blend for each vintage, this 2016 made up of 50% Syrah and 50% of Cabernet Sauvignon so rich in tannins, alcohol and acidity will be able to age in the cellar for at least 20 years.
At sight it has an almost blood ruby color, very intense. The nose is enjoyable because it is very dynamic as well as in continuous development: from cherry jam to blackberry tart, from chocolate to black pepper, from amber to tobacco. In the mouth it does not betray its name, it is a powerful and majestic wine, full-bodied and satisfying. The rich tannic texture, combined with the heat of the alcohol, gives a niceboost both acidic and mineral, leaving a very long balsamic finish on the palate.
