This wine was born in 1999, by the desire of Dr. Antonio Moretti Cuseri, a successful Tuscan entrepreneur but also a great lover of wines, especially from Bordeaux, and Oreno is inspired by that style but has a strong Tuscan imprint. Its name comes from a stream that crosses the Tenuta Sette Ponti estate, right in the area richest in clay where the vines of Merlot grow. The Cabernet Sauvignon instead finds its natural place in soils of the estate with a greater presence of pebbles. The Petit Verdot, traditionally used as a bearer of spicy notes and gustatory intensity, completes the assembly perfectly. Thus, the conception of a wine inspired by the Bordeaux style is fulfilled. Oreno 2018 award-winning wine, hard to find, highly sought after by collectors, is the expression of a vintage of perfect harmony.
Oreno has a dark ruby color with neat purple hues. It expresses incredible sensations of fullness and complexity to the nose with hints of small ripe red fruits chasing sensations of chocolate and balsamic flashes. It’s a pervasive wine, very rich in structure yet definitely dynamic, embellished by the nuances of new oak and of endless length.
