Redigaffi is a cult wine, a must have among collectors of oenological excellences: it was the first Italian wine to be crowned by Robert Parker with its 100/100th. Its vineyard, located in a strategic position, protected from the bad weather and cooled by favorable sea winds, embeds its roots deeply in the soil where it finds an extraordinary wealth of minerals, given by the decay of the metalliferous hills. The 2018 vintage was extremely favorable, giving rise to wines of great concentration and of the highest quality, ready to age for more than 30 years.

Redigaffi reveals its richness right from the glass, showing a dark ruby color with purple reflections. The nose is a riot of aromas and suggestions: small fruits such as raspberry, black cherries, mulberry blackberries and carnelians cherries that are intertwined with licorice and coffee, carob and then again tobacco and leather, and in the end the balsamic notes of eucalyptus. On the palate, the pure Merlot shows its power: Redigaffi 2018 is a very warm, full-bodied and voluptuous wine, with dense and wrapping tannins, the ferrous and savory notes come as a surprise and combined with the acidity make the wine an extraordinary drinking experience. Long wine, indeed very long, with a mentholated finish.
