Incontri 2008 is a bottle of great interest for collectors; indeed, only 3000 bottles were produced, and it is therefore a very exclusive item. From an oenological point of view, it is a beautiful expression of Sangiovese, which can already be enjoyed as it is at the apex of its evolution, but will also further develop further in the next few years: the red clay contained in the soil where its grapes come from and its richness of mineral elements make the wine suitable for long aging. Perfect gift for connoisseurs and collectors.
Incontri is a great Sangiovese in full evolution: the ruby color tends to garnet, it’s bright and trans-parent. The aromas that characterize it are that of dried rose petals, wild strawberry jam, followed by toasted notes of coffee and vanilla, given by the long aging in barriques. On the palate Incontri is full-bodied, but with mature and well-integrated tannins, of great smooth-ness and elegance.
