The “Lupo Bianco” is the most valuable and exclusive expression of Tenuta Impostino, it is a small production of 6,500 bottles that is made exclusively in the best vintages. The 2013 vintage was an exceptional year on the Tuscan coast, giving rise to wines with a high concentration of tannins and polyphenols, backed by a considerable alcohol content, therefore perfect for evolving in the cellar and reaching their full potential over the next 5-10 years.
The “Lupo Bianco has a very deep, almost impenetrable ruby color. The olfactory range immediately offers fruity hints, of ripe fruit and jam: maraschino cherries and blackberry jam, which then give way to spices such as cinnamon and star anise. In the mouth is initially soft but then it come as a surprises the fresh lash, revealing a wine that is still young and with lively tannins, followed by a mineral finish with an excellent refinement.
